Why APEX Tracker exists

We built APEX because every other tracker makes a choice we refused to make: growth by holding your data hostage.

1. Own your data — completely

Cloud-based trackers like Voluum store your click data on their servers. That means your entire competitive intelligence — which offers convert, which traffic sources work, which angles are profitable — lives in someone else's database.

GDPR, affiliate network TOS changes, or a startup pivot can lock you out overnight. We've seen it happen.

With APEX, your ClickHouse database lives on your server. Export, query, backup — full control, zero dependency on our uptime.

“Your click data is your competitive moat. Keeping it in someone else's cloud is the same as keeping your playbook in your competitor's filing cabinet.”

2. ClickHouse is the right database for clicks

Every other self-hosted tracker stores click data in MySQL or PostgreSQL. These are great general-purpose databases — but click tracking is not a general-purpose workload.

Click data is append-only, time-series, and read-heavy with aggregations across billions of rows. ClickHouse was purpose-built for exactly this pattern. At Yandex scale. Used by Cloudflare, Uber, and ByteDance.

The result: queries that take 30 seconds in Binom take under 100ms in APEX. When you're analyzing campaign performance at 3am during a media buy, that matters.

3. Install in 15 minutes, not 2 days

Binom and Keitaro require a LAMP/LEMP stack, manual PHP configuration, database setup, nginx config, and hours of debugging. One wrong setting and your tracker is down.

APEX ships as Docker containers. The installer handles everything: downloads containers, configures networking, provisions SSL certificates, and starts all services. One command.

“I went from blank VPS to tracking live campaigns in 12 minutes. Binom took me two days the first time.”

4. A license, not a subscription trap

SaaS trackers charge 10-20% of your ad spend, or lock you into annual contracts. We think that's backwards.

APEX uses a flat monthly license. Scale your traffic to 100M clicks/month and your cost stays the same. No revenue share. No percentage of spend. Just a fair price for the software.

And if you want to go all-in, the Lifetime plan gives you perpetual access for a one-time payment. Run APEX forever, including all future updates.

5. Built for affiliates, by affiliates

APEX was built by people who run affiliate campaigns. We know what it means to lose a profitable angle because your tracker went down. We know what it means to export data from a SaaS that's shutting down.

Every feature in APEX exists because we needed it ourselves. Sub-millisecond redirects because latency kills ROI. ClickHouse because we needed to analyze billions of clicks. Docker because we deploy to new servers constantly.

We're not a VC-backed company trying to own your data for an exit. We're affiliates who built the tracker we wished existed.
